    Submission of abstracts

    Abstracts of original research should contain 300 words. Abstracts containing more than 300 words will be rejected by in this case, please remove text from your abstract. Abstracts should be submitted on or before 15th July 2023 to callforpaper.biozion@gmail.com

    A panel of judges will decide upon the acceptance of the contributions based on the abstract. The decision for a contribution to be accepted as poster or as oral presentation is at the discretion of the panel of judges.

    Notification of acceptance

    Prior to July 20th, 2023, all persons who submitted an abstract will be informed about the decision of the judges concerning the acceptance of their contribution. Upon notification of abstract acceptance researchers are called are required to present their research paper via mode of oral / poster presentation

    Authors should reconfirm their contribution before 25th July 2023. Upon payment of the fee on or before 30th July, your presentation will be confirmed. For registration, please use the online form, which is available at www.biozion.in

    All accepted contributions will be compiled in the conference proceedings (book of abstracts). All abstracts of accepted contributions will be compiled in the book of abstracts, which will be available online.

    Poster presentation during Biozion 2023

    The guided poster sessions will be held on day two and three of the conference:on Wednesday 9 August 2023 and on Thursday 10 August 2023

    All presenters are supposed to be in front of their poster during their poster session and to shortly introduce their poster (outline the main message in not more than 5 minutes).

    Oral presentations during Biozion 2023

    All accepted oral presentations are limited to 10 min presentation time and the recommended number of slides are 15-20. Please prepare your presentation accordingly. All oral presentations will be in-person presentations. The oral presentation sessions will be held on the following days:

    • Wednesday 9 August 2023
    • Thursday 10 August 2023

    Guidelines Poster format

    Please prepare your poster in DIN A0 (841mm x 1189mm) or DIN A0 Oversize (882mm x 1247mm), upright format (Portrait). Please note that the organisers are not able to provide a printout of posters.

    It is recommended that you hand-carry your poster to the conference, using tubular packaging or a portfolio case. Costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display will be the responsibility of the authors. Pushpins, or thumbtacks will be provided to mount your poster.

    In case you wish to additionally distribute DIN A4 or DIN A3 copies of your poster, please bring these along. Include your contact information on these copies for attendees who desire further information.

    Submission of files for oral presentations

    Send your presentation as early as possible but no later than one day prior to your scheduled slot for presentation. If this is not possible, the presentation must be delivered at least two hours before the beginning of the session. Presentations will be accepted only as MS PowerPoint. Correct presentations in other formats cannot be guaranteed. Please make use of standard fonts only. The usage of a personal laptop computer to ensure correct display of complex presentations will NOT be accepted.

    AWARDS

    All paper and posters presentation presented at the conclave are eligible to compete. The best oral and poster presentation will be rewarded with cash prize and certificate. The best student presentation will also be rewarded with cash prize and certificate.

  • The topic of presentation can be from Life Sciences and Agriculture.

  • The abstract should contain maximum of 300 words along with keywords mentioned separately.
  • Ensure your abstract follows Times New Roman font (size 12) and line spacing of 1.5
Stage 2: Registration
  • Finalists are requested to register on or before 25th July 2023

Stage 3: Final Presentation
  • The final presentation will be conducted offline mode at College of Agriculture, Vellayani.
  • Each speaker will be given 10-minutes (8 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for Q&A) for presentation.

Winners will be awarded cash rewards, mementos, and certificates. Participants will also receive feedback from the judges, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Calling for all UG, PG & PhD students to unleash ideas for a strategic plan
  • The proposed plan should be from the field of Agriculture and Biotechnology
  • A team should be of 2 to 4 members and all the participants should be from the same institution
  • An individual can register as a part of only one team

DESCRIPTION OF ROUNDS OF THE EVENT:
Round I: Abstract Submission
  • 1. This round will be online

Stage 1 - Abstract Submission
  • One team must comprise of 3 to 5 members.

  • Draft an abstract within the range of 200 to 300 words, encapsulating your idea. Articulate the problem statement, propose an innovative solution, highlight potential impacts, and outline key features.

  • The selected ideas will get an email confirming their participation for the final event.

  • Meticulously develop a comprehensive presentation that delves into the technical aspects, implementation plan, potential benefits, and supporting evidence of your idea. Be concise and persuasive.
  • Maintain your impact within the designated time limit, ensuring your presentation is coherent and engaging.

    • 10 marks will be awarded for the correct answer

    • Passing option is allowed. Passing questions carry only 5 points

    • In the rapid-fire round, each team will be asked 3 questions one after another. 10 marks will be awarded for the correct answer and 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
